Set evenings, one with fireworks

The Starlight Luau runs on select evenings, not nightly, and only Friday dates add fireworks to the show — check GetYourGuide to see which nights are open.

What Friday adds

On Friday dates, the show is followed by the resort's fireworks over Duke Kahanamoku Beach, visible from the Great Lawn once the performance wraps.

Why it isn't every night

The fireworks are tied to the resort's regular Friday-night show over the beach, not to the luau itself, so any other date closes with the fire knife finale and nothing more.

Booking for the fireworks

If seeing fireworks matters to your group, look for a Friday date when you book — on any other night the evening still closes with the fire knife finale, just without the fireworks on top.

Where to watch from

The fireworks launch from along Duke Kahanamoku Beach, the stretch of sand the lagoon and the luau lawn both look out toward.

If Friday doesn't suit your trip

The show itself — the hula lesson, the buffet, the chants and the fire knife finale — is identical on every night it runs; Friday simply adds the fireworks on top.
